Buffalo Bills 2025 Thread

Palmer is an interesting signing. Fairly good size contract for a guy who hasn't really had a big season or 2.

Yeah I thought the same, but it's only half-guaranteed, so I'd guess there's a decent out for the Bills if he ends up not working out. He's an interesting guy. Still young. Been somewhat productive but I don't think he's lived up to what people expected. Still potential, though, IMO.

Able to separate. An upgrade over Hollins (who I like).

Ya the guaranteed $$ is the big thing and as you noted its half of the actual deal. We do need someone who can take the top off a bit so hopefully he can be that guy.

Is he though ? What hollins lacked in ability he made up for in balls

as long as the core doesnt include Rapp and Hamlin
Rapp and Bishop are the starters at safety. Damar is a FA who won't be back unless he has no market at all and wants to stay for backup money. I'd really like to upgrade on Rapp but he has another year left at lower level starter money and that's what he is.

I suspect Buffalo may sign an under the radar type Safety or maybe a veteran who moves on. Really need another solid 3rtd option there. I don't see anyway that Hamlin is back, good guy but he's not a starter at this level.

Samuel only being healthy for a couple games didnt really get to show much of that deal.

Palmer showed some high-end glimpses. Never quite understood the Charges offense last couple of years

I do think they will be able to keep Hollins on a 1 or 2 year deal. Cooper is gone, so there’s still a WR slot available and Hollins adds value on specials as well.

Unless they draft someone who makes the 53. The signing keeps their draft focused on DT, CB and Edge.

Bills spending cap money like drunken sailors. must realize the window is shrinking .

Mac Hollins to NE, 2 years 8.4 can get up to 10.4

Bills sign Rams DE Michael Hoecht 3 years up to 24 mill
Looks like a swiss army knife D line guy who can play all over.

Welp so much for that.

Sigh… biggest weaknesses on the team are secondary and DE. Bills are running it back in both places and/or depending on rookies? Did Beane not watch the Chiefs game when they an abuser Elam and the safeties were nowhere in the picture? Do they not remember that their one good DB had concussions two weeks in a row?

So what would your big grand plan be? Crosby and Garrett were never available. There isn't a single edge rusher difference maker available in FA. Can MAYBE give up a 2nd plus something just for the right to pay Hendrickson $30m/year as he turns 31 mid-season next year. Not even saying that's a bad idea but it's not great. CB market is fairly weak with maybe 3 or 4 that would represent a one year upgrade over Douglas for next year. Safety is similar. Bishop was a 2nd round pick and started to get better as the season progressed as a rookie should. Rapp is just a lower level starter that could be upgraded by a few of the available free agents but then you have to pay them $15m a season which they aren't really worth AND still have Rapp's cap hit on the roster too.

This isn't Madden, we can't just have a weakness at Edge and Safety and go trade 2 1sts and a 2nd for guys that aren't available just because some dildo on X thinks it would be a great move. So we do that then go give Hufanga $10+ mill because he was an All-Pro and an upgrade when healthy and has a big name but oh yeah, he only plays 50% of the games so lets hope that we get to pick those 50% and make them the important ones.

I'm certain that they are exploring every possibility to bring in a difference making pass rusher and are trying to figure out ways to improve the secondary. I'm pretty damn excited about having 3 picks in the 1st 2 rounds. Those guys should help build the depth we need and getting them in the pipeline is how good teams remain good. Making big splashes in FA is how bad teams remain bad.

Bosa to Buffalo
Stunned and also really don't like the looks of his pro football reference page. But it's a lotto ticket worth playing. Put him in bubble wrap until Halloween or even Thanksgiving and hope for 2 or 3 full blast healthy months.

It’s a move. Bring back Von for the vet min and they can try to get 20 games between the two.
That would be incredible but extremely unlikely. I think it's big Greg, Bosa the new guy and AJ on the edge. Hoping to bring back Douglas on a 1 year deal for $6m and then use a day 1 or 2 pick on a CB and a DT to get those guys ready to go and then BPA with the other since we could use someone basically everywhere except QB and TE. Would love an IOL somewhere by rd 4 too since that's a sneaky big need with McG and Edwards FAs after next year and won't want to be paying both of them with the way even average starter interior guys have started to get paid.

1 year deal, high risk/ High reward. If he's playing in 12 out of 17 games and healthy in the playoffs then probably worth it. Huge risk on the injury side of things. Don't hate it though

Draft they could now go CB, Safety, or DT.
