McDermott fired. I do Not agree with this!

I freaking hate this. Make no mistake about it, they ran it through JA17 and he ok'd this.

Who the hell is out there that is better?

Think they go offensive minded HC. Stefanski is probably hoping he didn't actually sign the contract yet. Id keep an eye on the Seattle OC.

Needed to happen. McDermott is a good coach. But I think his cap is AFC championship game and he had 6 years to prove he could get it done and he couldn’t. I compare it to the Golden State Warriors and Mark Jackson. Mark Jackson was a good coach with Curry, Klay and Draymond but he could never win the big one. Bring in Steve Kerr and Kerr’s first year the Dynasty starts. Sometimes you just need a new coach, with new ideas that just fits your players better

In my opinion, McDermott is a defensive minded coach that saw his defensive regress over the last few years. We have an all world talent in Josh Allen, we should probably have an offensive minded head coach. I think this is the right move. The franchise has been stuck in the mud and hasn’t progressed like it should have in the last 6-8 years. When you have been consistently talked about as a team to make the Super Bowl every year, the last 6 years and haven’t made the Super Bowl once with Josh Allen. You gotta bring in new Blood. Once again not say McDermott is a bad coach, I think he’s a good coach. I just don’t think he’s the guy to get us over the hump at this point and at the end of the day when you have a team with Josh Allen. It’s Super Bowl or bust every year

you can't use the must survive the ground argument if you are going to say knee down means he doesn't even get to the ground.

I feel like my camp should draft an apology letter. Those of us who wanted this after :13 were called too reactionary/emotional but it wasn't that at all. This was always how it was going to go. Just delaying the inevitable.
I admit idk if it's even the right move now unless they have a handshake agreement with a big offensive mind (no clue who that'd be now).

Honestly I think it was time. Hes a good coach, in fact id say really good. But at some point you have to go in a different direction when this team cant get over the hump
This. I am shocked that they kept Beane (for now, remember that Whaley was canned after the draft) but at some point this is a results business and McD has not gotten it done with a generational quarterback.

Hate how it ended but I applaud Pegula for acknowledging that the status quo wasn’t working. I just worry he removed the wrong guy at the wrong time. Who is out there that will be an upgrade from McD? That’s an honest question.

Another long offseason ahead…

I didn't think they were actually going to do it. The question is, who can they get that will be better than him?
