Buffalo Bills 2026 Thread

Oh god! here we go again, I watch the game last night and wondering how the Bills have not at least made one super bowl in the last 5-6 years. It's crazy

Year 1 of the Brady coaching era, let’s hope he’s more Mike Macdonald than Mike Mularkey…
Well that was year 2 of McDonald. Mularkey is funnily maybe the most successful offensive coordinator to be promoted to the same team's HC job...until Joe Brady!!!

A few mock drafts have the Bills taking Texas A&M wr KC Concepcion. The wr class is not outstanding this year.

It has to be unusual for two teams that just fired their coaches to be in the top 5 of the next seasons Super Bowl odds.

Apparently in TEN superbowls the pats have scored a total of 3 first quarter points with McDaniel ?

Seeing these strong defenses in the playoffs particularly the DL work, really is depressing.

We can’t even get a sack in January and teams are putting up 4+ with 4man rushes.
And we’re going to make another mistake trading two firsts for the past performance of max crosby. I hope not. Maybe stop drafting lanky edge rushers that look like basketball players ?

Agree that we don't overpay to sign some guy who has a year or two left and then is finished. I would be happy to get Bosa back if he doesn't demand a fortune. Still think he has some gas in the tank. Epenesa is also a FA and has some value. Unknown factor is rookie Landon Jackson who had injury issues. Not sure how you judge that. Rousseau is solid and Michael Hoecht showed promise before he was injured. Javon Solomon seems like a decent depth piece. With so many holes to fill on the roster, the question is where you feel the priority is. My guess is wr, lb, cb, s, and ol if we can get some our fa edge guys to resign.

Hard to see Buffalo burning 2 1's for Maxx Crosby. His contract alone makes it unlikely much less the wear and tear and his age. Think trading for a WR is much more realistic and likely as the draft is fairly light on high end Wr's.

No surprise, this is my top reason they haven't made it to the Super Bowl yet. It's arguable the main ingredient you need to make a run as long as your QB play is solid enough.

I think with Oliver/Sanders/Walker they have a good mix at DT , but need another body or two that fits this scheme. I'm more concerned with outside LB pass rush. Crosby would be a home run addition but may be too costly

There isn't a high end stud outside of maybe the Ohio St guy but there will be plenty of solid WRs. My ideal acquisition is Brian Thomas Jr via trade but unlikely he's available.

It really is crazy, and compounded by the fact that we have spent a sizable chunk in draft capital and free agency on the defensive line, with painfully mid results.

I'm pretty interested in how Leonhard & Beane are going to move the roster more towards a base 3-4. Sanders will be a real nice fit outside and Deone should be a good fit at 1T. Ed doesn't fit either spot very well but I'm sure they aren't going to be running their base defense really all that often. Greg is a weird fit too. He's light to play DE in a 3-4 but could definitely play OLB in it. If he comes in 10 lbs heavier than I guess we'll know what the plan is there. I think the DL should mostly be fine once we pick up another 1T to backup Deone. The LBs are going to be our big problem. Bernard is a real bad fit as one of the MLBs due to size. Dorian actually could work well because he can just play hard and fast and not have to think nearly as much. Hoecht could be good on the outside if he's ready to go. Going to need to find a minimum of 2 more LBs that have the potential to start. One run stopper in the middle and another pass rusher for the outside.

Beane will have his hands full plugging all the roster holes this year. Just like last year the wr draft prospects are probably not worth taking in our 1st round slot and may get similar value in the 2nd. With Sanders and Landon Jackson injured in their rookie year, hard to tell if they will be contributors down the road. Walker was definitely a solid hit though. Agree LB a big priority as well as safety and cb.

I'd sure hope CB isn't with Benford, Hariston and Taron plus hopefully a healthy Hancock as a depth piece.

I think Oliver will be fine in this defense. He'll line up in the 4i spot, just barely over from where he's played in his career.

Bernard actually played in a 3-4 at Baylor but I agree that the LB room will get some work done on it. Leo Chenal would a great addition but he might be too pricey. But there'll be other options.
