What do we want to see happen throughout the bye week? Here's a few things that come to mind.

1) Welsh & Reddish get healthy. It's imperative we have all hands on deck. Need these guys ready to roll.

2) Shore up the tackling issues. The 1st half of the Tulane game, we missed some tackles we're more than capable of making. Wrap up, wrap up, wrap up. We don't need to see Watkins, Boyd or McDowell eluding/shaking off tackles & breaking off a big play.

3) Run-blocking - not sure how "fixable" this one is, but it doesn't seem like we're opening up many holes for our backs to get through. With a team as talented as Clemson, we can't be sitting in 3rd and long situations all day. Some nice 4-5 yd gains on 1st down will go a long way.

Finally, lock the friggin doors come October 5th! Let's beat these guys and put a signature win on the board. I'm fired up for the game and all I'm gonna be doing is standing all game yelling my face off until I lose my voice. I have to imagine our guys who are going to actually take the field are going to be more than ready!

Someone mentioned this idea the other day, but for SURE we should have a sound effect of locking the door and throwing away the key. Mayble play it right after the coin toss. I just looked at a whole bunch of clips on youtube, a creaky door sounds like farting, no good. However, a heavy duty jail/prison, dungeon door sounds AMAZING.

Imagine this playing after the coin toss, in a packed dome on 10/5, the first clip, 0:01 - :04

Good topic.

1) Get everyone healthy that can get healthy. The more bodies, the better.

2) Get used to life without Krautman. Need to have a solid special teams day against Clemson.

3) Get into a mindset of the season re-starting. We aren't winning a national championship, but the ACC season starts now. We are 0-0.

4) Let's see some more effort from SU to get butts in the seats for this game.

5) Would really like to see one of our WRs start to make a leap to be someone we can brag about.

This is the game where players can get on the radar of NFL teams and can make a name for themselves, along with going a long way to helping us get to a bowl game and keep pushing the program forward.

They should use a live shot to an actual door in the dome. They could close the door and chain it up with a padlock and lock it, then they could show the person throwing out the key. Every week they could use a different Syracuse legend to lock the door.

Good call on the kicking game. I'm hoping Norton gained some confidence last week against Tulane. His PAT's and FG's are going to mean a lot more going forward.

To me, your 3rd point is probably the most important. We can still get to a BCS bowl. Take it one game at a time. We go out and beat Clemson, the guys are going to be feeling pretty good about themselves. Getting the butts in seats kind of ties into this. The more people there, the louder it is, the better home field advantage we give the team. I think we can do this!

They need to wrap and tackle. I also would love to see the tight ends get some serious play calls. I know Beckett, and suspect Parrish and Moore are good sized bodies that can catch and run. Put some hurt into a D backfield that SU should not be scared of.
