7ft 220lbs. Good player getting attention from high major schools. Not a big bodied guy with the beef we all want but he has long arms and is an ELITE shot blocker. Would be great in the middle of the zone. Can stretch the floor too because hes a serviceable shooter so defenses would have to respect that.

"Koval is a 7’0”, 210-pound center who averaged 12.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks over 31 games last season. That wasn’t a major departure from the norm, either, as his career figures sit at 11.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game over 98 contests with the Bears. And while all that came during his time with a Southland program, it’s not as if Koval hasn’t faced elite competition."

"The Prosper, Texas, native has played in 16 games against programs in the seven high-major conferences, and in those 16 outings he averaged 8.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. That includes a 21-point, three-block showing against Georgetown in 2019; a 21-point, eight-rebound game against Oklahoma State in 2018; and 15-point and 16-point games against UCLA in 2017 and Indiana in 2018."

"Koval even scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Pitt itself in 2018 and came up with 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in three games against ACC opponents."

Koval entered the NCAA's transfer portal March 11 and appears set to move on from Central Arkansas, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Koval noted that Gonzaga and UNC Greensboro have expressed interest in his services, among other Division I programs. Koval isn't believed to be a graduate transfer, so he would have to sit out the 2020-21 season at his next school unless he's granted a waiver by the NCAA. The seven-foot center was among the nation's most prolific shot blockers in 2019-20, averaging 3.1 per game to go with 12.2 points, 7.6 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.0 three-pointer in 32.8 minutes.

showing off some good blocks/defense against some good competition here. Would be even better in a zone I bet.

Seems like a good fit but how often do we get kids from Texas?
Hey we cant let that stop us! We dont land ones that you can throw a rock at the kids house from the melo center so what the heck right? gotta think outside the box now! Desperate times around here lol.

Given that the recruiting season is in a temporary halt, Our recruiting is limited right now due to the virus to cold call phone conversations and/or video conversations. Recruiting techniques right now have changed.
