Let's not go there who is better etc, let's root for everyone ORANGE , we win as a team and lose as a team.

List does not include guys we offered, but were out of the running early in the game or even recently or the kids we have passed on, you would be surprised at the amount of kids we do not engage with.

GMAC - Goodine, Stewart, Akok , Girard

Autry - Bol, Quincy, Wahab, and 1 more big

Griff - Working more on 2020 kids, working on 1 potential for 19, He's doing great

Our staff is doing a tremendous job, not every player you like or i like agrees with us, it just so happens kids might want to go somewhere else than Upstate NY.

I said it in March 2017 (i think that is when HOP left) - I hated to see HOP go, but I was thrilled to see JB running the show go forward, since that day forward no matter how you look at it, for both or either JB and/or Hop/both schools are doing very well and are in a great place, most importantly SU.

Add a few more days of FBI Trial and it might be a total DOWN POUR in our favor!!!

Thank you to JB & Hop and the coaches for keeping us out of the mess, when you would see all of these kids who were SU leans going to AZ, Miami, OR, NC State and others you just knew something was off..

Oregon, NC State, LSU, Kansas, Arizona, Miami, Maryland, Louisville and more are all in huge trouble.
The NCAA has been advised to HOLD and wait until all of the trials are complete.
Penalties probably will not start until 2020, maybe 2019.
I am hearing one other top 15 program is going to be named during the current trial, another good one for us.

Louisville current sanctions do not include the current events correct?

Anyway hope that answers your question lol

You mentioned BOL above -- very, very, interesting!

Holy sh-t...

Also, great news about the FBI investigation outcomes. It is about team that several teams that cheat indiscriminately, with impunity, are going to get what they have coming. About freaking time.

I like this kid as a long term prospect.

Lots of Channing Frye here. Runs well, I think he'll be an adequate rebounder / defender, good shot blocker, and he can really shoot the ball. Needs to get stronger, and improve a bit as an inside scorer. But he's got a LOT of upside -- especially if we can pair him with a Wahab or Carrigan, and give him two years to develop.

Reminds me a bit of that kid we lost to Washington / Hopkins last year, but with better shooting capabilities.
Nate Roberts?

Haven’t followed this recruitment but I like the cliff notes on this kid.
Who was the lead recruiter Autry or GMac?

Autry

One perfect example was the big kid who visited Syracuse 2-3 summers ago, next thing you know he commits to NC State the Euro center, there is NO DOUBT in my mind it was NOT b/c he liked the food better at NCS, i would put a ton of dough on the kid and his handlers receiving an Adidas Bag.

Excellent pick-up, kid can shoot real nice, my posts are confusing on purpose, can't post info that is not public before a kid announces, Expecting a 5 man class, could be 6, highly doubt it could be 4, but u never know, if i had to bet today - 5 kids for 19 - 2 bigs, 1 forward, 2 guards

Tea leaves of late highly suggested that we’d land Ajak. He’s our type of center. Raw. Sudanese. Just baffling why we continue to struggle to recruit high impact big men. I’m talking centers. They must have told him he’d get a chance to start down the road otherwise he could have taken an easier path at a school like St. Joseph or George Washington. That leads me to believe we’re done at the 5. Doubtful Ajak chooses SU if he could find himself behind Sidibe and, say, Carrigan for a few years.

Cool for development and long term now let’s bring in Carrigan and/or Akok. Still need a better and more ready to contribute right away C anyway you slice it!

Remains to be seen. If we can’t get Carrigan or some other more polished prospect then one must just accept that playing C here isn’t that desired. First, a kid must be down with all zone. Then there is how the players are used as well as their actual skills on the floor. Watching Keita, Chewy, etc., wouldn’t exactly leave recruits excited and left not scratching their heads some, IMO.

Wrong.

We are not done with the 5 spot.

I’ll take your word for it. Just surprised Ajak would be content sitting for 3 years. I don’t consider Akok a 5 so if it’s Carrigan, it’s another 5 with limited offensive skills.

We’re really not a bonafide Final 4 team again until we can find a center who can provide balance with an offensive game. Hopeful Sidibe stays healthy. Promise there.

Oh come on. Talk about a Hot take. We never threw the ball to Fab and Rak in the post in 2012 and 13 and those were our best teams this decade.

The offense is always going to run through the guards and forwards here. We won the title with Forth and Mcneil.

The game has changed and is getting smaller. Melo is an NBA HOFer. A once a decade type of talent. Warrick was a solid NBA vet. GMac was a clutch shooter, etc. You can’t win a title in college these days doing what we did then by feeding the ball to Melo and let him go to work. Forth would also be too slow these days, IMO. These days you need more offensive firepower, versatility, etc., to keep up with that Villanova/GState style of play now which is more and more prevalent.

Correct. Exactly why you don’t need elite post bigs. They’re dinosaurs. Duke had two of them last year and couldn’t get out of the elite 8.

MSU had two of them and scored 52 points against crappy Syracuse.

3 point shooting is far more important.

You don’t need to be able to feed the bigs, but it’s nice to be able to have a big who can put the ball on the floor and contribute offensively. There were times last year when teams just ignored Chukwu as an offensive threat. He gave us, at times, nothing more than someone who could set a high pick. When Chukwu shined offensively, we were a much better team. The difference last year between SU and Duke was that they just outmatched us at the 5.

I don’t buy it. So what Duke lost in the E8. They were formidable all year. Their bigs were NOT the reason they lost to Kansas. The defense was and they finally got paired with an experienced team with firepower who could light up a scoreboard. Their bigs aren’t the dinosaur types either. Boeheim would gladly have taken Carter or Bagley. Yes those “dinosaurs.”

MSU was a more of a perimeter team much of last season. That Jackson was drafted highly on potential, IMO. Never that impressed. We’ll see how he does.

You need bigs who can do SOMETHING with the ball these days. We haven’t had that with Chewy, Keita, etc.
