He reminds me of that big stud who was Mr. Basketball in Illinois in 1990 I think. Rashard Griffith. He went to Wisconsin for two years then to the NBA For a brief stint. There was footage of him in the state tournament/Chicago Public League in the movie Hoop Dreams.
