If he’s interested in us and we don’t figure out how to get him, we will never join the ranks of the top teams. All of the usual top teams are stacked and would find a way to get a top player they are interested in, or just to keep him away from competitors (see how Jordan Tucker’s career was derailed before it started by Duke snagging him not because of need, but to prevent him from playing for us).

There should be a scholarship available, but if not, just make one available. You could take a scholly away from one of the guys being redshirted and get creative with financial aid for the kid. Worse case and cutthroat scenario, if Souare hasn’t signed yet, you rescind the offer. To simply say we are out of scholarships is a losing team mentality.

I was also stating that if there wasn’t one available, you could get creative and pull a scholarship from a redshirted kid and replace it with a financial aid package. Obviously, the most cruel scenario would be to rescind an offer from Souare or another big. Many programs have done horrible things and spun a narrative to favor the school and put the blame on the athlete. Not saying that we should do something that extreme, but saying we need to find a way or live with not being able to compete. Some of you are way too sensitive off season, but show your teeth during the pitiful season.

Name a school that’s pulled scholarships in basketball. It doesn’t happen often.

Besides JB being lazy one of the reasons his recruiting fell off is because he lost AAU and HS relationships for treatment of certain players. That’s exactly what this would be. Not to mention you would piss off George with Souare.
