Seems like the staff goes after players with ties to the area first. Id rather have a more dominant defensive center. There was better options available in the portal that went fast ..

Defense is what he is elite at. He led the AAC in block percentage the past 2 seasons. Last year he lead in DBPM. Per 40 min for his career he averages 3.6 blocks.

Kimmel got overhauled while I was a student and they went from having the chains like Burger King and Taco Bell to dining hall versions (Sliders instead of BK and something like Queso's instead of Taco Bell). It was a gigantic downgrade lol.

I think it’s lazy analysis. He’s put up big numbers against power conference teams. He’s not the mid major guys we signed last spring.

It was a down year for the ACC and still better then the AAC. So im not getting excited about a guy putting up decent numbers there. He has experience and should be contributing in that conference.

There’s guys gone already too that would of been nice to have. I just hope they didn’t just focus on him. His experience is attractive.

Do we know they’ve focused on him much at all? I think they’ve been keeping it close to the vest, and they obviously went out and brought in William Kyle quickly. I’m glad they are looking at other center options to bolster the front court.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Genuinely don't know if we're actively pursuing Ballard, or if he's just being brought up because he's local / a name people recognize.

Exactly. Plus, I would argue we signed low major guys last year (except Eddie)
