Class of 2020 C Quincy Ballard (NY) Portal to Mississippi St

Good luck to the young man. I wish he stayed in Syracuse and played at Henninger. Always a nice buzz to have a high major local product. Who are the last 5-10 from the area to play big time from Section 3?

2004 Henninger - Andray Blatche (NBA)
2004 Proctor - Josh Wright (Syracuse)
2005 CBA - Greg Paulus (Duke)
2005 J-D - Andy Rautins (Syracuse)
2009 J-D - Brandon Triche (Syracuse)
2012 J-D - DaJuan Coleman (Syracuse)
2012 J-D - Tyler Cavanuagh (Wake Forest)

Whatever on this kid. I think we’re fine for next year at center, and it wasn’t going to get any better for next year if this kid showed up. If we could get a grad transfer to share minutes with Sidibe, that would actually help us for next year, but it’s hard to get a grad transfer with a returning starter at center. Sidibe played 24 minutes per game last year, hopefully he can foul less and get that up to 28 minutes. We’ll figure out the other 12 minutes.

I also get the “let them have their day sentiment,” but mom rubbed me the wrong way. Felt that way before his announcement.

I’m not worried about not having him next year. No games are going to be played anyway.
agree . . . i think there is a strong possibility that at many schools, at least the fall semester is done by distance

how long do you think billy has had that fsu shirt?

when you get that answer you'll realize syracuse was never really in this.

syracuse didn't "lose" this kid to the seminoles; rather, he used syracuse to generate some local media attention. well played

Good point.

Lol I swear half this board gave up even watching 15 games into the season. Sidibe played awesome the last 6-8 games.
This is like saying our oline is completely fixed because the last three games they played better. 6 games is not a large enough sample to say he has locked anything down. I did watch games the whole season by the way. I am just not going to say oh sweet he played 6 games pretty damn well, he is a beast. A number of our fans like to say someone has arrived before they have actually “arrived“. Again I hope Sid continues to progress and again I am sure that the dude works hard but our 5 should not be considered “locked”.

Mika-Adams Woods is at Cincy
Malik Zachery is going to commit to a P6 school
Jordan Roland didn’t play at a big school but put up serious numbers at Northeastern

Quick hits
Billy E didn't want to be there, he hates any attention, and oh, he coached the Boeheim kids and was key to 2003 NC, let him be.

On the other hand , good on Mom , I guess. Recruiting is a sleazy business and a two way street, congrats, I guess. " I used her and she used me, and neither one cared" Bob Seger

This Bigfoot recruitment is over and congrats to The University of Florida State

Kid probably knows he is a project, but at FSU under Hamilton he will get some run. Under Jimmy his tush just gets warm for probably two years. Doesn’t matter that they have more depth, at FSU everybody plays.

He picked FSU.

He will be the PG for them.

He may be in the transfer portal next year.
