Perhaps, JB seemed hesitant to block this freshman class with transfers. Next year may be different if one or more hasn't worked out.

If they all play up to expectations, we won't need any, this will be a very good young team.

I suspect we will take Patterson, a guard and leave the other open for a "wait and see" transfer or late recruit.

Unless we’re offering a starting role, we won’t get a really good transfer. And with all the freshmen, we won’t be offering a starting role to a transfer unless there’s a mass exodus after this year. That’s why I think it’s crucial to get one or two 2023 recruits, to fill in depth. Transfers generally aren’t transfering to fill in depth, not the ones we want at least.

We won’t need any? We gonna roll out a roster of 8 or 9 guys? No.
