Very little observation, but 6 foot 5 with a 6 foot 10 wingspan. Very athletic. Sounds like a fit for Autry’s vision of up tempo offense and opportunistic defense. I would guess if he had a basketball rating, it would be similar to Womack.

Physical and aggressive player from the tape and lots of emotion. Those guys, assuming they are team players are easy to find minutes for.

This can be really cool for Syracuse! An athlete making meaningful impact in the two most revenue generating sports is a game changer.

Two thoughts on Russell as a basketball player.

Top basketball schools wouldn't have a 6'5 200lb kid as the biggest guy on the court.

He played shockingly under the rim. He looks really great as a football recruit.

No question this guy has the chance to make an impact in hoops. These are the kinds of guys Houston beat us in the sweet 16 a couple years ago. He looks like a great defender, and who wouldn’t take a Josh hart type at Cuse?
