He got leveled by Desire after calling for a fair catch. It was a 15 yard penalty on us. Desir blew him up.

It wasn't that play - he returned the next one and got slammed down and hit just right. Was obvious from TV - might not have been from the stands.

He had a punt return prior to that. After the 2nd punt tho he never came back in the game and they took him to the locker room.

I remember him being gang tackled on a blown up play. I'm almost positive it was in the backfield. The illegal hit by desire didn't knock him out of the game.

I don't remember him coming back in after the illegal hit, so I assumed that's when he got hurt. If he did come back, then I guess not.

Took a shot coming across the middle of the field and came down on his shoulder. They said it's his Collarbone, they took him to the locker room to x-ray it. He came out with of the locker in a sleeve wrapped up with ice. They didn't say if he broke it.

Yeah either way it sucks to have such a good player in his senior year get hurt like that. I feel bad for the kid and I hope he gets his shot.

He got hurt on two plays, neither of which were the punt return penalty.

I've never been on a kick coverage team, but watching that play made me wonder how on earth a player sprinting downfield with someone blocking him the whole time is supposed to see a guy flick his wrist like that?

I guess it was a "dumb" play by Desir but I'm amazed this doesn't happen all the time.

My alternate conclusion is that this fair catch signal was very quick and not very noticeable which is the returners "fault"
