Shafer in his interview talked about how he convinced Shamarko Thomas, who had committed to UL, to come to Syracuse. Obviously he will be burning up the phone lines trying to find another Shamarko Thomas who is a very capable QB.

Shafer needs to give the Moeller coach a call. He's been quoted as saying that cincy isn't welcomed there anymore.

Just looked at Woulards offers on Rivals and I see nobody that would have more upside now than Cuse. If and when he is aware that Allen is gone, he should want to come here. Took a visit to Kentucky yesterday? Go figure. If the offers are acurate, it does not list NC State as having offered. Shafer needs to go hard for this kid. Woulard rated 4th overall duel threat on Rivals. All things happen for a reason!!

Unless I am missing something, this should be an easy poach. We recruited him early, he commited to Cinnci. Now that they have dumped him he is waiting to hear from a BCS program.

Unless I missed something, this should be our next commit IMO.

The problem with trying to poach in this situation is that our recruiters on offense have either left or have one foot out the door. It would be very difficult at this point to introduce them to a new recruiter AND also try to keep all the existing recruits together at the same time.

We should be more worried about getting further poached than trying to poach other recruits.

In hind sight, Shamarko's "hard nosed" game fits Shafer's approach perfectly.
