Kris seemed to really struggle and was forcing to try and score. Brandon for some reason was butter hands and just couldnt get past his man. I agree that we may have struggled against a better team.
Its probably because Dion is not starting.
Other than Waiters and Southerland, I thought most of the team was kind of blah, especially after we got a decent lead. Seemed to coast and get sloppy. Though Keita had one decent stretch in the 2nd half when he showed some good hustle. His hands, and Melo's, are just soooo bad though.
Looked like he might be on his way to one tonight but then he hit that lucky crazy-angle bank shot (on which he was probably fouled) and he was off and running.I'm still waiting for Waiters to have his stinker. It hasn't happened yet.( I don't think he played long enough against Florida to count that one)
Melo usually has pretty good hands for a guy his size, tonight he didn't have them though.Other than Waiters and Southerland, I thought most of the team was kind of blah, especially after we got a decent lead. Seemed to coast and get sloppy. Though Keita had one decent stretch in the 2nd half when he showed some good hustle. His hands, and Melo's, are just soooo bad though.

I think Melo's hands have generally been quite good this year. Did have a few fumbles tonight, but he's caught and finished some pretty tough passes up til now.His hands, and Melo's, are just soooo bad though.
Kris logged 33 unproductive minutes tonight. If we have such a balanced team, not sure why Jimmy left him in so long. He looked very shaky on his drives, had his usual charge call and on one of his two field goals it looked like he lost control of the ball as he shot it and somehow it took a nice bounce off of the backboard to go in. The best thing he did tonite was go 4-4 from the line.Kris was way too out of control. He has to chill.
If you would have told me a couple of years ago that Kris' outside shot would be the best part of his offensive game, I would've thought you were crazy... but though his outside shot has really improved, he seems to have a hard time going strong to the basket in traffic and not losing the ball.
+1 good postA lot of the poor play came during the second half with a huge lead. I'd be much more concerned with our lack of energy in those situations than I would be in regards to what would have happened against a better team.
Personally, I think JB has to get Rakeem out there for Fab and MCW in there for Scoop/BT once the lead gets to 20. Not only do they get experience, but you know they will want to show their stuff no matter if we are up by 50, and when the lead does inevitably get worked down, our better players are rested and ready to come back in and drop the hammer.
In all fairness, however, I thought there were some rather questionable attempts at entry passes tonight. At least a couple other times, I think they got hit on the wrist when they lost the ball--nothing called, of course.Though Keita had one decent stretch in the 2nd half when he showed some good hustle. His hands, and Melo's, are just soooo bad though.
didn't he have a quiet game against Bucknell maybe(4pts)? and Florida wasn't grea either, though that was more because Triche and Scoop were so goodI'm still waiting for Waiters to have his stinker. It hasn't happened yet.( I don't think he played long enough against Florida to count that one)
