Especially when its a kid that had some injury issues that likely set him back from developing more and winning more time on the field. As long as he's healthy now that is.

Especially injuries that are relatively minor like this one. Will take it.

Love the strategy of snagging highly rated kids at big time schools seeking more playing time.

These are the best type of portal gets for us. Immediate playing time and spreads out talent from the factories.

If you listened to the interview / group session Meeks did with the other seniors, you can see how important playing time is.

HUGE!! I love this for all the reasons discussed—high-level pedigree, years of eligibility, etc. It also just de-risks us a little bit more from putting all the chips on Samuel, the Kerr boys, etc. It's another bite at the apple (orange?) with a highly talented kid. Kudos to Fran once again!

And we have some young players, like ZMG, Deslauriers, and Omopariola [who I know is an edge, same as Lesaine / the Cal transfer].

But since we only play 2, I think we'll go with what we have.

3 years of eligibility is fantastic.

He was on the cusp of the 2 deep at Georgia (actually battling another guy from his area in Charlotte) so not one of those guys sitting completely at the bottom of the depth chart. Georgia just brings in so many high level guys every year that he must have seen himself treading water in that position. Good opportunity for him to start over and get in our 2 deep almost immediately.
