I actually think Meeks is the more compelling story.

Dude went from bench warmer to a $200k guaranteed UDFA contract.

Sometimes people make their own luck as well. Pivoted to Syracuse, brought an outstanding work ethic and “bought in”. Made his way onto the field around game three and just crushed it. Lands on a team in Detroit with a HC that absolutely loves high effort all the time players.
Meeks hard work and a damn good QB got him there. Gotta also give the WR coach who portaled to Oregon some love as well. Clearly he raised the bar for the whole WR room. I think Meeks sticks, I really do. Special teams and 5/6th WR.

Ha. That number sounds rediculous and I’m sure some think its exaggerated . But in 2024 we had 46 and so far in 2025 we have 51!

It won’t be 50 ever again, but with the expected jump to 105 schollies that’s where we’re at now.

I don't know about LB.

Got a nice transfer, who will start. McDonald / Sparrow are experienced contributors.

Heard transferred from WVU the previous year.

And we have some young players, like ZMG, Deslauriers, and Omopariola [who I know is an edge, same as Lesaine / the Cal transfer].

But since we only play 2, I think we'll go with what we have.

We actually have 3 transfer LBs this year. You probably are forgetting the 26yr old transfer from Cal who apparently has pro potential. Dont forget Fran Jr as well.
I assume you were referrîng to Bryant from S. Dakota...
edit: my bad you did mention Cal transfer who is Edgy with 11 sacks last 2 yrs.
Anyway, I like where we are at LB. Unless of course if we can add a stud.

That would be smart...If I had a son Id be training him at punting, FG kicking and long snapping from 2yrs old on. Nice route to a scholarship without as many head hits plus who knows...
Because you cant really train to be a backup nfl qb.
