When you bring in students who aren't up to University standards, you take this risk. After reading the SI article from August on Stanford, NW and Vandy, I'll be real interested to see what Vandy's numbers look like in a couple of years. They readily admit to lowering admission standards for football players.

Teford makes a good point in the article that if you have players who don't value education, it's real easy for them to leave after Fall and not finish their degree.
