CFPR week 2 ... Syracuse is 13

I feel like some of you dont know how great this truly feels. We are taking about what we need for it to happen, not dwelling on the past and thinking what if. This entire thread is what the big boys think about every year. We're not quite there, but some of these youngins' need to appreciate what is happening right before our eyes. LGO!!!

so if we beat ND and Mich wins out

12-1 mich with wins over 5 loss msu, 6 loss nw, 3 loss psu as their resume builder?
11-1 nd with win or mich
10-2 lsu with win over 10+ ga and 20+ miss st at home
10-2 su with wins over rop 10 nd and top 10 nc st and the only non home big win

best wins by far and they value wins and all the talk of ND much better than week 1..

we could get in over all 3

figure out how to get ok/wv to collapse..

You left out one key factor, if Michigan is 11-1 that means they beat OSU.

Four of the top 17 teams are from the ACC Atlantic. And Pitt's going to win the Coastal. Unbelievable.

We nearly beat #2 Clemson on the road. We're the 13th best team in the land. I'd argue that others ahead of us are not as good, but I don't want to be too greedy. ;)

Yes, we gave Clemson a helluva game. was a huge transition week for them with Bryant transferring. things like that effect teams at their core, even elite teams.

We are good, very good. That said, the sea has finally parted for us in terms of the schedule. ABOUT time we caught some breaks and it couldn't have gone better!

We played WMU early and they weren't ready. Might be a different game in game 3-5?. FSU is historically bad with poor gameday leadership. uconn is soon applying for FCS status and that isnt even a joke. our cross over was a dumpster fire UNC squad that we battled against...wake is at its lowest point in 5-8 years as is the Ville, lowest in 10-12 years. add in Wagner and this schedule broke perfect for us. We are a flawed team that has played good fb, not great. we are developing wrs and OL players on the fly.

Dino has done an AMAZING job along with the offensive positional coaches and DL and Monroe getting the young dbs ready for action, in particular Melifonwu and Trill. Overall the O isnt what it was with Lewis but hopefully that changes with TD next year.

You just explained perfectly why scheduling matters. Winning is recognized, even if the schedule isn’t the strongest you are rewarded for getting W’s. It’s the only thing that matters. Strength of schedule in CFB is really only a determining factor if you are fighting for the top 4.

So TRUE and its a tricky spot given these OOC schedules are often booked 4-7 years in advance. ironically, it wasn't the OOC that set up right for us, but rather the ACC. FSU, WF, THE VILLE, UNC is where we caught a deserved break.

The schedule finally went our way. After years of complaining and bemoaning our ridiculously tough schedule, we finally get a reprieve, and I couldn't be happier. This is EXACTLY what we wanted.

Our O is better than ever. Running game is finally producing, OL has played great and we are able to distribute to multiple receivers. Lastly, we are in every game, only losing by a combined 7 points. Lewis' departure has not been missed.

I disagree. Lewis is a better play caller, connects with the players much better, and was our second best recruiter. He is missed big time.

Even the bye week came at a perfect time.

I'll give him the recruiting, but how is our offense working better than ever an indication the Lewis is missed? How do we know coach Martin doesn't click with the players? And Lynch's play calling has been fine.

Happy for the team and Orange fans!!!

Win and advance...win and advance...win and advance. Take care of what's in front of you and control what you can control. Let the play on the field do the talking.

I feel i can officially move on from the robinson and schaffer era...Havent been this excited for cuse football since i was 15 in 2001 lol

Nah. Only way we move up is if we keep winning and teams ahead of us lose. If we beat ND we might jump a few, but not much more than that.
really at this point i prefer to think louisville, and hope for no injuries

Statistically, one of the best Ds in the country.

That's because they played a weak schedule. Georgia toyed with them & really should have put up 50 on them. The SEC is overrated. With the exception of Bama, Syracuse could beat the rest of the SEC.

Georgia is very good, 3rd best team imo, and not overrated but I give you the rest as being so.

You must not have seen that punt by Kent State last night. Lewis isn't that big of a loss.

To be put 11th? Yes they are.

Yes, Kentucky is WAYYYYY overrated. They would lose to 5-6 teams in ACC. Clemson, Syracuse, BC, NCST, Pitt, UVA, and GT would all beat Kentucky. Even Duke & VT would give them fits. I've watched a ton of Kentucky games. They don't have the Offense to hang with the big boys.

If we dont win out it’s PSU in the Bronx I’m sure of it.

Thats the only way I’d be ok with the pinstripe. A win vs Penn State could launch our 2020 class into the top 25.

Also, I’d start the “who owns the north? Cuuuuuuse” chant.

I really don't want to play a down PSU team. There's nothing to gain & more to lose. PSU has a ton of talent, but Franklin is a poor HC. Still not sold we would beat them.
