Boogie followed the money, not the coach. I don't blame him, kinda. Could have been playing for a winner. Lots of NIL at Arkansas. If you're one and done, get the money. You're missing the point.

Johnnies?
Rick's 1st question to Boogie..." Are you OK with me sitting you at the end of close tournament games?"Rick Pitino’s revenge?

College basketball is becoming so unwatchable.Gators
Yup, we’re back in the MLB before the 90’s when the Yankees were using Kansas City and other teams like their farm team.College basketball is becoming so unwatchable.
And how many championships did the Yankees win in the 80s? The highest priced players aren’t always the best. They’re just high priced.Yup, we’re back in the MLB before the 90’s when the Yankees were using Kansas City and other teams like their farm team.
They need to figure something out when Florida (and other teams) can pay more for their 11th guy than most teams can pay their best player.
One less than the Mets? And how many championships did the Yankees win in the 80s? The highest priced players aren’t always the best. They’re just high priced.
Ironically Florida had one of their best returning players poached off their roster and he’s now at UK.Yup, we’re back in the MLB before the 90’s when the Yankees were using Kansas City and other teams like their farm team.

Well they're a whole country. I can see how they might outbid someone, but I didn't realize they took basketball that seriously.Ironically Florida had one of their best returning players poached off their roster and he’s now at UK.
Hmm, nice work finding the one pre-luxury tax decade since Babe Ruth where the Yankees weren’t able to buy championships. They haven’t won as much since they actually have to have a budget… Coincidence? And how many championships did the Yankees win in the 80s? The highest priced players aren’t always the best. They won plenty with homegrown talent in the 90’s and 2000. They are not winning as much now that other teams are spending with or more than them now, so there is no cap or budget as you say.Hmm, nice work finding the one pre-luxury tax decade since Babe Ruth where the Yankees weren’t able to buy championships. They paid their homegrown talent more money than anybody else could, and also had a parade of high priced free agents to supplement that core. Or don’t you remember A Rod signing a record contract, which led directly to their last championship, in 2009? 3 of the top 10 earners in baseball history were on those late 90’s early 2000’s Yankees teams. You had to jump to 2009 to try and prove something or other, I stopped at 2000 because of that SPECIFICALLY. It was after that they signed Giambi. Arod was traded for BTW….They paid their homegrown talent more money than anybody else could, and also had a parade of high priced free agents to supplement that core. Once the luxury tax/salary cap situation in MLB had real consequences, they came back to the pack, and smarter organizations started winning more. Each successive collective bargaining after that had additional consequences (not purely money related) that forced the Yankees to be a little closer to the average in baseball in total player salaries after that time.
Now, with the Mets and Dodgers finding deferred contracts help reduce the damage from violating that luxury tax, you can expect the Yankees to buy huge player salaries again. As it is, Judge and Cole are both paid the top10 in baseball this season. The Dodgers and Angels are the other teams with two players in that list.
My point is that the Yankees haven’t been able to outspend everybody and haven’t won a championship since the salary cap restrictions stopped them from doing it… After they spent all that money doubling the previous largest contract ever for A Rod.You had to jump to 2009 to try and prove something or other, I stopped at 2000 because of that SPECIFICALLY. So you can use the Yankees buy championships argument but you can’t use it for the timeframe I'm referencing. Lemme guess, you must be a Mets fan?
