I'm really looking forward to seeing how he does in the 3-point competition. He won a previous comp, hope he does it again.

It would be a lot more enjoyable to comment on the man bun situation if he wasn't 18-34 from deep in his 4 career games against us

that's somewhat skewed by his 8/10 performance this year against our lackluster D, although 10/24 is still very good. Just not 53% good.

10/24 in 3 games is elite shooting for college. Haha.

Link didn’t work

Not sure what I did wrong. Looks like an old link that I found by just googling Faces in the Crowd nominations. Clicking doesn't work but copying and pasting does. Operative section:

Do you know an outstanding coach or amateur athlete who has recently made a mark on the field and deserves to be spotlighted in Faces? Please see below for nomination instructions:
To nominate an individual for an upcoming edition of Faces in the Crowd, please email editor Alexandra Fenwick with a name, age, gender, hometown, sport, school and all relevant contact information, as well as a short summary of the athlete’s recent accomplishments.

Email address is faces@simail.com

Dear Sports Illustrated

Joe Girard III not only deserves to be “Faces in the Crowd” – Joe deserves a whole article for his high school accomplishments. There could be a side article on the five other high school players who scored 50 points a game and how their careers went.

The five other guys: Top 10 single-season high school basketball scoring averages, including Bjorn Broman's 7th-place finish - MaxPreps

The top guy played for 6 years!
Julian Newman #8 on the list will play 8 yrs of Varsity Ball graduate next yr and averaged 12.2ppg for his small Christian school in Orlando as a fifth grader.

That kid is a piece of work.

The number of games some of those guys played is crazy. 60+ games in a season?

According to MaxPreps, JG3 comes in as the #10 overall boys high school scorer all time.
5 of the top 7 are from Louisiana. Another 9 in the top 25 are from La.

What gives? They playing like 50 games a season there?

Ask yourself how many of those guys you've ever heard of. I'm hoping Joe will be heard of by alot more people before he's done.

And he's not even being recruited by D1 programs.

Plus they seem to start counting from grade school!
