Class of 2026 CG Ryan Moesch (NY) COMMITTED TO SYRACUSE (4/14/26)

I think with Moesch it's playing time, opposite of Folecac which is money related.

Honestly Gmac may be having a conversation that he may end up being buried real deep on the bench especially like people said 6'0 170 is not ideal. Hell could even end up redshirting, Tough pill to swallow when he thought he was going to have a likely starting gig at Siena...

He also committed early to Siena both due to the promise of lots of playing time and his close relationship since freshman year with GMAC.
He did have quite a few offers supposedly, including Illinois and providence.
These came before his really good season last year.
If we sign another really good PG with more than a year to play, I don't think he comes.

Unfortunate, I really like this kid. Has always been a winner, has always exceeded expectations.

Do you know if the "promise" of playing time was a guarantee or the opportunity to earn those minutes? Gerry doesn't seem like the type to make that kind of guarantee.

If the new 5 for 5 proposal is adopted redshirting may not longer be a thing.

Gerry said in an interview after he committed that he was going to be Shoats replacement at PG.
That he would start. Spoke about how he was a winner, extremely smart and could read the floor, capable of making the key passes or scoring himself. Did whatever was necessary to win, not interested in personal glory.

Really sounded like he thought this kid would have what it takes to compete from the get go.

Again, I think he saw a lot of himself in this kid, similar to Doty.

Thanks for info
