If we run the same stale and stagnant offense that we did under late-era JB and Red, Gmac will not last long in this job. Hope that’s not the case. We need new ideas and a new vision. I thought that’s why Daly was brought in—to revamp the offense with more motion, off ball screens, and cuts to the basket, and then help us install it and identify the players that can execute the system. These are all systems taught by coaches to the players. The "unselfishness" is because guys are wide open because the system got them wide open. We will be playing the same offensive system we did under JAB and Red.
What exactly does that mean? If he hasn't signed, he isn't "on the team". He may be committed, he may have given Gerry his word, but if he hasn't put pen to paper...I know for fact that he is on the team whether he has signed or not
