Chance Westry Entering the Transfer Portal

I only recall him playing in one game this year, where did 3 games come from? Did I miss something?
Yeah, me too. I only remember one game for 2-3 minutes. However, just looking at his stats from this year, he logged 11 minutes in three games (Tenn, ND, Albany).

Maybe we should hire Triche as the strength and conditioning coach.
Or Rob Drummond, too, who helped Triche after his freshman year. Triche is the right guy for Chance to pair with. Horrible hs injuries that could have really hurt his college prospects but came back through hard work and drive.

(AI couldn't get Choppa's number right despite being told)

I see him at my gym in DeWitt frequently. Chatted several times. He’s a good dude. We are about the same age too.

When he was still playing ~2 years ago he was rehabbing knee injury there, now he’s obviously retired but still gets some workouts in there.

I think a guy like Petar is essential. He plays very hard and has a good IQ out there. He’s a 4yr guy that could develop into a nice player.
He still has a lot to work on but I love his potential as the hard hat and lunch pail guy.

Yeah, he can be a useful player for us. He was better than people think.

Genuinely curious what Chance's options end up being. Will someone take a flier on him or will he end up as one of those forgotten players that enter the portal and get lost in the void?

You would have to think a mid/low-major would be thrilled to get a former top 50 recruit from Auburn/Syracuse. It hasn't worked out with injuries and other, but getting that level talent into a Lehigh or Kent State or Fairfield or whoever would be big for those schools. If he works out, all the better for them. If he doesn't, I can't imagine they have the funds to be giving him much NIL to start with.

Now if off the court issues are a thing, then who knows, but purely on an injury and lack of production standpoint, he'll get an opporunity (if he wants it).

Seems like a low-risk roll of the dice, if you're a PA program like Lehigh, Bucknell, Drexel, etc.

I just feel like he's not athletic enough to be a high D1 player. He's definitely not "essential", and I didn't necessarily think he plays that hard either. Definitely not a sparkplug like Marek or Baye was for us

Gmac would take him in a second if he wanted to go there

I still can’t get over how accurate this was from Slater TWO YEARS ago when it comes to Chance, it lives rent free in my head…
