Unfortunately it is what it is. However, if the defense improves we could have winnable games vs Louisville, FSU, NCS and BC.

we have a big play defense. it makes big plays and it gives up big plays. combine the two and it is generally bad and when the game is on the line it can't stop anyone.

But, these last two weeks as well as the CMU game have been a death by a thousand cuts with the defense. I cringe whenever the opponent is staying from inside their own 10 yard line. How many scoring drives have we given up this season that were 85 yard or more? A lot, I think.

A thousand cuts this year. Not nearly so many next. I see progression.

No the 2nd down play call was stupid! Get the damn first down by running the ball as you just got 9 on 1st down...head scratchers with Lester at times.

Second guessing. Had he run and not made it everyone would be saying how stupid they were expecting it. Coaches can't win with fans.

Everyone's a genius when a play call works; everyone's a moron when it doesn't. If you go with the expected play, you're conservative; if you go with something different, you're inept. It's the way of the coaching world when it comes to fans.
