Coincidentally I looked this song up earlier this morning not knowing you had posted it, weird. Anyway like you said many thinking this was Sade, in addition there has been some confusion on when this song was recorded, the real name of it (missing), who sang it. 2 or 3 places said it was recorded in '03 which I knew couldn't be true. I always remember that song from this . Mango!

Yup, there's more confusion concerning this song than any other song I can think of.

The singer - Tracey Thorn - really sounds like Sade, in tone and in style, so much so that you can find results and credit for this song when you search Sade on YouTube. Plus the name of the song never appears in the lyrics so naturally people think the song is "And I Miss You", "I Miss You", or "Miss You" - whatever.

I didn't know about the recording/release date confusion, that 2001 Mango skit certainly shot down the '03 scenario. Last night, after checking out Wikipedia, I did learn it was recorded/released in 1994 but did very poorly - it only reached #69 on the UK chart and didn't chart anywhere else. A different version - the one I posted - was subsequently released in '95 and was a huge international hit.

It's a good song.
