Cheering for Va Tech tonight

Let it go, they had a better resume than tcu and baylor.

That is opinion. IMO TCU had the better resume. No team that loses at home to a team that barely gets to 6-6 so be in the playoff. We can call it the Hokie rule.

Yeah - I tend to agree with that. However TCU played one less committee top 25 team like Wiscy. I think it was the lack of a championship game that did them in.

That is BS agenda IMO. That wouldn't have happened to Oklahoma. Both teams played 9 "conference" games and 1 P5 OOC. Ten P5 games is ten P5 games. The extra game that Ohio State played in reality was Cincy. The B1G CG just brought them even with TCU. B12 was > B1G. Minny OOC > VA Tech OOC. Losing on a last second FG on the road vs Baylor is > losing at home to VA Tech. Not to mention TCU was #3 in the rankings and Ohio St was 5th. If Ohio St had lost to Mich St I wouldn't have an issue. But IMO you have to be punished for bad losses. Otherwise you are saying that OOC games do not matter. Which is bad for the sport.

The TE throwback
They never forgiven us for that and now in our honor they run it to perfection. Lester should be making phone calls to get that back in our playbook.

I'm sorry I missed where they played a team of Wisconsin's caliber (and ranking in the committees top 25) and won?

That was the difference. I'm with you on the VaTech loss being more detrimental than what was ascribed.

I am too tired to do the research now, but last year when the playoff teams were announced, I researched it and Ohio States resume was more impressive. I grew up a Michigan and Syracuse fan, so I despise Ohio st, but their resume was better.

K St was ranked higher than Wisconsin before and after the last week.

I also found it funny that TCU went from 3rd to 6th after the last week. Baylor somehow jumped them too. It is like when the committee makes a BBall team a 2 seed in the NIT to show that they shouldn't have been the last team in.

What it really comes down to IMO is whether you think that beating Michigan State and losing to VA Tech is better than losing to Baylor and beating Minnesota. That really is the difference between the two teams. I would go with TCU in that case.

Now THAT is a b button. Wow.

I hate that so-called 'fumble' call when the guy is stopped, on his back, falling down and the ball gets ripped out, calling it a fumble doesn't seem right, how about 'the ball was surrendered through a violent takeaway, when I was in a helpless position', Okay, takeaway i can live with.

Did TCU destroy KState the way Ohio State did Wisconsin? And the when and how you play matters too. Losing to VTech early is def better than losing to them late. I think it's close. And there's no doubt that a rematch with Baylor for a BIG12 championship win would have clinched a playoff birth over OSU.

VaTech in our conference? Do we play them before 2026?

Yes.

In a parking lot at Turning Stone.

I hope so, considering we had a pretty good rivalry going in the big east, it shouldn't take this long for us to play them.

Is there a roof on that parking lot?

I'm not sure but if 25,000 people show up then it holds 25,000.
