Chet Holmgren to Gonzaga

He would have been the perfect replacement for Marek in the variation now known as
"The Slim 2-3."
Hed be the perfect replacement for anyone he's far and away the best player in the class.

Yeah, moving to Buffalo and the amazing food options and my inability to put the fork down caused me to gain 40 lbs this year lol

Probably hovering around 6’6” these days if my back pain is any indicator.

Yeah, if I had 5 more inches on me, I'd be hovering in the same range.

My wife both endorses and doesn't endorse this message at the same time.

JB tweaks his offensive system based upon the players. He has for a long time. It’s why some years we have a more fast paced offense and others we have a slower “rock fight” pace. Some years it’s more a guard ISO offense while others its forward centric. As we’ve gotten more shooters, we’ve become a team that takes more 3’s. Etc.
eh kinda...on the spectrum of 1 system that is always the same a la Wisconsin under Bo Ryan or Tony Bennet UVA...and other teams that change every year or those that have no system (cant really think of examples but there hhave to be some out there)...where would you place SU? Defensively certainly not tweaking much...but maybe offensively...idk ...I feel like the offense needs to be more developed generally. For me, the same patterns are the fallbacks for SU...give it to the "stars" and let them go ISO...thats basically what we have seen for a while now...surely appeals to aspiring NBAers...but not sure it really is optimal or fully qualifies as tweaking to personnel. it really rears its head vs good defensive teams that can put the clamps on 1 on 1 a la UVA or Houston...where the results were dismal. I feel like the offense has been do what you like...and in return do what I say on D...which is not really the same as tweaking to personnel.

Kid looks really skinny.
He needs to put on some weight.
I get scared he could destroy his Achilles with how fast he plays and if he cuts to fast.

I see a hybrid Kevin Durant-Kevin Pittsnoggle game.

7-0 185 pounds.

Were we asleep at the wheel? ; )

Edit -- he's a local to Minneapolis kid. Sounds a lot like Anthony Davis in the sense that he had a 9 inch growth spurt a year or two ago. Prior to that, he was a guard, and has tons of face the basket skills.

He played at the same prep HS as Jaylen Suggs, who just starred for Gonzaga this year, so him committing there makes sense.
Is it possible to be 7 foot and 185? Bones and skin alone must weigh more. If he stands sideways, would he be invisible?

Chet from the Weird Science tv show > Chet from the Weird Science movie as a character imo

I haven’t seen the TV show, but I always thought Chet was Bill Paxton’s best role. May he RIP.

Origin of the term dickweed. At least in my mental history book.

With all due respect to Bill Paxton, who was a treasure, Lee Tergesen (of Wayne's World fame) simply took the role to another level.
