Everybody knew it had to happen, the only way he would play (barring him being way better than expected when he stepped on campus) was an injury. This is the best thing for him and the program

Makes sense I think all three of our bigs will contribte and have their moments but I;d also say there will be stretches where one of them doesn't play much. Chinoso wasn't going to get any meaningful burn IMO. Its great that we have 3 other guys for him to play against and learn this year.

I think it was predicted a while back. He's got three centers on front of him. A lot of people saw this happening. And not academics. He's a serious student, wants to major in accounting. Not worried about Chino. He will be a program guy, and will get his due, will probably play here for four years.

I guess he expected to redshirt, but still probably a little disappointing for him. However, he will greatly benefit now from being able to practice and learn from the bigs and coaches with no concern of not getting any PT. He will help the team in practice, and help himself for next year and beyond.

With the forward talent we have on our roster, no chance we would be able to find significant minutes for 4 Cs. Heck I'm still going to be curious to see which C only gets about 5-8 minutes per game. Because you know one will end up playing sparingly.

watched him in HS. He is not that skilled a player. Love his intensity and he has a high motor. As others have said will be a great program guy who will provide depth for the next 4 years. He won't scare away top 20 type recruits that SU will look at. Not quite the length of Keita but better hands and is physically stronger. Not sure he will ever be an offensive type of center but at the very least will bring a strong physical presence to the team.

Maybe not dissapointing at all. He knew what he was stepping into with Senior Keita Jr Rak and Dajuan ahead of him.
Alot of times bigs need a year just to adjust to the speed of the game. The guy is from the area and will bleed orange.

Smart move and of course it surprises no one i'm sure. We will be so overloaded at C with Keita, Coleman and Christmas, we won't have enough playing time to go around as it is. . Damn, this is a really deep club. Can't wait for the season to begin!

No-brainer for many reasons. He'll get his time. Without any inside info, I wouldn't be surprised if he was told this was a possibility (probability?) when he was being recruited.
