CJ Returns: Official Anouncement

I say he'll average 18 and 8 - what yous think?

18 and 8 would be amazing...

But I'm going to say 17 and 10. his 3pt % will dip to just over 40% but his makes will double.

A great 2 days.

The strangest thing to me is that some people on this board were actually worried that the decision would be anything other than this. I know people are going to say that CJ was seriously considering leaving or whatever, but I'm sorry that would have made no sense. Fair was never considered a 1st Round pick at any point, and if he had decided to leave, I'd have had no idea what drove that decision because it certainly wouldn't have been his draft position.

So, though I expected it all along, nice to know for sure that Fair is back to lead us into the ACC. Hopefully we can keep the Final 4 momentum rolling!

This decision was not a forgone conclusion at all, there were multiple issues at play.

Right, the mysterious "other issues" that no one knows anything about except the people who claim to know something but also won't say.

And honestly, I'm not saying there weren't issues that some of us don't know about, but a lot of people around here like to talk about what they're "hearing" with no actual facts to back it up. Also not saying you're one of those, just commenting in general.

Good job by JB to talk CJ into coming back, he was leaning toward declaring a few weeks ago.
JB doesn't talk anyone into staying Lay out the facts. Give your opinion. Srate your vision for

The issues arent mysterious at all, CJ had to consider whether or not to come back to a team that maybe dealing NCAA penalties and perhaps a new coach. Neither one is likely especially the latter one but it was still something CJ had to consider.

He might not come out and say it but he makes the case if he feels a player should return, he certainly doesn't try to hold anyone back who wants to leave.

Great news. The stability of haven a proven scorer will be important with next year's team, with so many new faces.
