Clemson opens -16.5 over Cuse…..

I would be content with a 28-17 game. If we give up more than 28, IMO it will be a major red flag for the rest of the year. They have issues putting points on the board. Even 28 is a good amount of points for them.

Scoring 17 against their D would be a decent job IMO. If we score less then I would worry a bit. You can't go 55 mins vs UConn at home and score only 6 points and then your next real opponent put up only two scores (or less), despite how good that opponent may be. That would indicate that we have issues.

I think a 28 (or less) to 17 (or more) type of game wouldn't set off any alarms for the rest of the year.
 
I would not predict a victory here, but judging how we played against a much better (offensive) Tennessee team, I like our chances. If we play like we did for 53 minutes against Yukon, we will get destroyed.

376 yards and 26 (really 31) points might get it done. That’s what we did vs. Tennessee.

It just depends which team shows up. It’s too early in the year to know which one we really are.
 
Dabo was a bit hot under the collar during his media availability. Tbd on whether that is a galvanizing force for the team or a detriment.

They are at a crossroads. The only way he can placate fans is with deep playoff runs. The fans are thinking that they can hire anyone and do better. Pretty similar to Coach P. I thought we could hire anyone and go 6-6. And then I was wrong. If they mutually part... I could see Dabo to Florida and Clemson's next hire be underwhelming. Happened with RichRod at Michigan, etc. Really, only Ohio State has been consistently great for a long, long period of time without a slip up.

In this NIL era... a lot of guys may become distracted with all of this quickly and start looking for the next home. We may get super-motivated Clemson. But we may also get the FSU of last year... mailing it in Clemson. Dabo might be saying that they are 9 straight wins away from the ACC CG again. But the team must appreciate that they are one conference loss away from elimination. Cal, Miami, and FSU can all go undefeated this year. No room for a 1-loss champion just yet.

While coaches upcoming game press conferences are typical quick niceties, Dabo was highly complementary of Fran, our offense especially and had some interesting/nice comments on our D. Unlike the GT coach who basically didn't even discuss Syracuse last year, Davo brings some class. You can find his comments on YouTube if want to listen.

Might sound like a loser mentality, but I won’t be super upset if we lose. I just wanna see how hard we fight and if we can keep it close, win or lose. The team is so young, I’m telling you right now next season is a whole different ball game. 2nd year under angeli, freshman turning into men & more mystery impact transfers to compliment our young pieces. Hopefully we can get better luck out of the portal concerning the DL.
 
I have a weird feeling that this is a game into the 4th quarter. The universe owes us one from that 2018 game that we had in the bag down there.
