I feel like we may need to tweak the offense a bit for Collins. Simpler throws, more designed runs, etc.

After being neck & neck with Angeli during camp, that may only be necessary for a short time. I believe Fran when he called it a 51-49 close race. And for all the QB talent last year and this, it might be the coaches who develop the poise we've seen last year and this.
Oh, and I just want to give a big shout out to the great improvement in tackling this year. Really showed thus game with the open field put downs.

Where’s the we are not a good team thread guy? Look at these terrible defensive metrics.

We gave up 500 yards of offense but covered the spread by 30+ points.

Take your metrics and shove them up your A whole.

We basically were in a soft defense that last quarter and a half making them work clock. The first 40 minutes or so it was rock solid defense with multiple looks, blitz packages, and great man to man coverage. The defense played outstanding.

It was a classic example of why stats don’t always tell the story, Our D did exactly what it needed to do in the 2nd half!

Congrats to ERob hell of a game from our defense. Blitzed more today than the entire year long. CBs looked good without giving the other QB all day to throw. Keep up the aggressive defense.

For sure! I think this was the best game ERob and team has coached. We looked really solid on D today.

Let's celebrate the win first, but also let's no oversell his sale job. We've seen both QBs so we can ignore his long ago coach speak when we were all in the dark. Angeli proved why he was chosen and it isn't any 51/49.
Angeli is composed, accurate, and put SU top 5 in nation in passing. Collins can and will improve but as of right now we all see his warts and shortcomings. We will see.
