He was already limping before the injury.

Classiest coolest opponent fan base I’ve ever seen both here in the Cuse and on my trips to Death Valley, and it continues. Thank you for the comments. We hope we’re heading toward special times. Without qb1 it’ll be tough but we could still have a good year. Thx again for the visit here.
I was there for the 6-16 Scott Shafer loss and Clemson fans were class before and after game. My friend, a Clemson alum, was showing me around campus the day before the game. I was wearing a Syracuse shirt. At least a half dozen students said "Welcome to Clemson" to me. Florida State is another story, students were dirtbags and nasty, even after they obliterated us.

Congrats to our CUSE. Unlike when Babers won - this game wasn't a fluke or alignment of the planets and stars - this was a team with a mentality to win supported by a great game plan, execution and earned outcome! Winning on the road in prestigious places couldn't be sweeter!
Keep up the focus. And may all the teams we have played continue to excel to lend support to our rankings to come!
BTW: seems like the post-UConn sprints have raised the level of both mental and physical execution!
I remember SU looking better on both sides of the ball when Dino beat Clemson.

It’s just crazy that Angeli literally tripped on his own foot. His left toe on his left foot hit the back of his heel on his right foot and that caused the misstep. So sad on a great day
So devastated for him. It was a perfect storm leading to this injury, already a little bit banged up on the legs in the 1st half and then the wet field. Still an amazing win for the program and I hope that Rickie seizes this opportunity. I hope people remember how high level Angeli was operating this offense and that it took 3 games and are willing to afford time and be patient with Collins as well. I hope Angeli battles through this injury, he is a really good qb and was making some incredible throws as of late.

First off, I hate that Steve Angeli was injured and I wish the young man a complete recovery soon! Secondly, fantastic win, Syracuse faithful. I'm impressed with your athletes (clutch performances from Angeli, Willis, Cook, Long Jr., Grant, Ross-Simmons, etc.) and I admire the coaching strategies employed by Fran Brown and his staff. Here's to continued success for the Orange moving forward and a great post-season...
Just can’t hate Clemson. Class fans. And you wear the right color. Thanks for popping in.

Not “just” pre-banged up + wet field -
he also sat for 2 hours due to the delay.

That couldn’t have helped, given he had already taken a hit in that area.

Truly a perfect storm. Sigh.

Feel awful for him.
He was doing about as well as anybody could have expected or hoped.

Hats off to Fran, Nixon and ERob. Team was prepared and ready to go. They out coached Dabo & Co by a mile. I thought this season was going to be a struggle with the schedule and turnover of players. I was even more concerned at end of 3rd quarter against UCONN. Since that point, this team has looked good and like it should go bowling - at least. It’s starting to click for young guys and transfers.

Losing Angeli hurts bad. Makes today bittersweet. As others have said, he was just starting to look in total control. We won’t be as good without him imo. But we can still be a solid offense with Collins. I think we will look a little different. More run, less pass.

Just to keep things in prospective - Syracuse football beat Clemson in Death Valley and it was never really in doubt. That’s pretty incredible. Pay the man.
