Yeah tempo can be a double edged sword for sure if your not executing (putting defense back on field fast with no extra points)

But I think the whole run up to the line and pause thing is misunderstood. What they are doing is hurrying up to get to the line to POTENTIALLY run a quick scripted play if the defense is not set, but if the defense is set (nothing easy) then back off and get a proper play called.

Yeah I think you’re right. The kid threw for almost 1000 yards as the backup.

It’s why Ohio State has tried going tempo.

The article from Thamel on it said part of the reason Clemson has struggled against Syracuse has been our tempo and lack of signals because Dino doesn’t have a playbook.

This is why judging what the outcome will be based on the first 2 series of the game isn’t a great idea. I was hoping Clemson would crush them and maybe they still will but looking like the game could be a close one.

That will help their secondary.

Clemson should maybe let their star QB throw the ball around now, instead of their usual messing around and trying to run the ball.

Going to need to score considering Clemson’s Defense refuses to defend anyone running a pattern past the LOS.
