Coach Hopkins in neck brace

Saw some photos tweeted by Coach Hopkins today and he's wearing a pretty substantial neck brace.
Anybody know what happened?

No, I haven't, although I've gone body surfing so I can understand how it can happen.
I find it humorous because it seems like an odd injury for our head coach in waiting (and because it appears that he's not severely injured).
I was expecting it was because of a possible auto accident or from some type of neck surgery.
