Bob Knight, IMO.

I wasn't going to argue with you but then I remembered his demeanor as a coach and kind of have to say it was often far too unpleasant to be considered the greatest. The only coach I can think of with a similar problem was that recent Rutgers coach who roughed up at least one player.

However Knight was a very good broadcaster for several years.
