Just thought I'd share this real quick. No real info just a quick story. Coach Lea was by our school recently to talk about a couple kids. He's the only member of the staff I'd never really talked to before besides Acosta and Adam. Anyway, yet again, another great guy. Down to earth, easy to talk to and genuinely trying to take the time to talk with us about a couple things.

I was extremely disappointed when Marrone left with most of his staff, but, this staff has so much character and personality that it makes them easy to route for. Not like I don't bleed Orange and Blue already, but, just saying.

I didn't realize how young he was either, he has a bright future in this profession IMO.

Played golf with him at Seneca Falls last year. He is a true southern gentleman. Lea played baseball at Vanderbilt. He confided to me that he wanted to buy a house in the Syracuse area. Hopes to be here at least four years so he can see the players he coaches graduate. Clark added that HCSS is the best coach he's ever worked for. Scott Shafer gives his coaches time enough time to be family men and father's.

Several weeks ago when Clark visited me along with Terrel Hunt he gave me a hand written note thanking me for all I had done for the Syracuse football program. As has pointed out before on this forum he has unbelievable hand writing.

My guess on the hand writing is that there are nuns in his past.

Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?

Coach Lea just called to say they missed me at the golf event. We talked about the state of the program and he said these next 2 weeks will be grind time in recruiting. I told him how happy I was to see us back in New Jersey and starting to get Pa going again.

Just a great gesture from a great guy who works for a tremendous coach.

He is a great guy. Smart, caring, funny, and he has a great golf swing too.

He is the kind of guy you look for when evaluating coaches you want your son to play for.

I get confused sometimes, he coaches what? THE DB's?
