Yup. Syracuse gave him the biggest opportunity of his career, and he couldn't cut the mustard. I can see why he couldn't do the job. No mental toughness.

I want to be clear here - I'm not defending McDonald. He was a bad coach and handled a lot of personal things poorly. But people wanted to see McDonald react so that they could talk about how terrible he is. This was all really predictable.

He deserved it.
