Coach Search Options after Autry

All the more reason why you don't need Red to keep Kiyan. Clearly he is coming regardless.
Firing Red might actually HELP keep him, depending on how bad the season turns out. I think ND will be improved, but we just went 0-2 against possibly the two worst teams in the BE and ACC. If it's clear that the coaching is bad and the results are bad, the Anthonys will likely make an easy business decision.

If were dependent on Melo's money and im JW, I communicate with Melo and ask how much do you see yourself involved in the program during and after Kiyans time in the program?

If he promises to contribute $, I then ask, what's your thoughts on the current coaching situation? Stay the path or make a change?

Can you work back channel communications to get an upgrade at coach from either college or the NBA? Can you contribute to the cost to make that happen?

Georgetown in 9-2, and they got that PG from Harvard, Mack, who was among the top guards we were looking at in the portal, and we wound up with Jaquan as the consolation prize. Epps is also a pretty good player. Sorber is very good, and he's not their only big. I would like to be that terrible right now.
They were 9-23 last year and barely beat us without our top scorer. Not impressed. He has double the NIL budget we have too.

I bet if we all throw our unused hift cards in the middle we could buy out Red's contract.

I got gift cards from Lord & Taylor, Sharper Image, Bed Bath & Beyond, Blockbusters, Kmart, Sears & more.

Correction, the BB&B is not a gift card, just a 25% off coupon, but it should count for something. I got some Harbor Freight stuff too.

this is it. they have to communicate. they need his commitments with or without red.

Everyone who's been saying something along the lines of Melo and Lala pouring money into the BB program...where did that come from?

Was there some interview or back channel knowledge that this is the case?

He gave $3M for the Melo Center. Why would he be inclined to give more? Just for his kid to succeed they need to pump money into SU athletics to increase the NIL budget to surround his son with better talent to win? Why would they want to do that if they are seeing this result? Melo was here one year only, he is on the mount Rushmore of SU sports for sure but I don't see any indication beyond this board that he is planning to help in NIL, and help in a long term. Can someone show me the source?

Georgetown is a much better university than Syracuse right now academically. Not even close. Georgetown is in the 25-30 range, while Syracuse has fallen into the 70s. Georgetown is obviously in a location where your connections can get you lots of jobs. Syracuse has a good alumni network, and an on campus arena, but Georgetown under Cooley is probably going to be a better job than SU soon, if we let it slide much further. Lots of recruits in that region. Georgetown has as much history as we do. They are to basketball what we are to football - we helped people break color barriers. John Thompson is their Ernie Davis.

Georgetown law school just had the 2nd most law school grads get jobs at the Top 100 law firms last year, ahead of Harvard, who was third. So, sure, laugh at Georgetown.

On the weekends I’m the Anthony family accountant. 3 mil is just the news story for the practice facility.

It’s also Mama bear LaLa’s only boy going off to college. She’s worth 30 mil too.

Look up Kiyans net worth. Not his Nil value which is like 1 mil. His net worth just with his social media and his own investments is 40 mil.

OK what does their net worth have to do with pumping $ into their school's athletics?

I assume Kiyan wants to sign good NIL deals to maintain and increase his name, image and likeness and to increase his net worth, not the other way around.

As a comparison, Bronny James had a NIL package around 7 million during his USC days. Lebron did not donate any $ to USC all he did was gave the team some custom sneakers. Carmelo made his mark here but I am still looking for the source of talk of Anthony family doing any short or long term NIL contribution.

These are the same people who wish Weitsman was still here doing ... I don't know, getting likes on instagram? And they also thought that Buddy was going to play without a scholarship in order to get a free roster spot.

Is that all Adam was doing?

Weitsman doesn’t need Syracuse, it’s more the other way around. If he was looking for likes than he’s still getting them because he knows pretty much every celebrity in the world and hangs out with them , even after not being part of the Syracuse nil.

What's wild is that team went 23-13, finished 4th in the Big East (9-7), and was ranked as late as February before they lost 4 of their last 6 in the regular season.

That "dumpter fire" would almost certainly beat this team by 20 points. And trash talk them until they cried too.
Williams was one of the best SGs we ever had, he would make this year's team much better.

Ever?

Buddy, Tyus, Dion, Rautins in just recent history are better.

No way. Dion is probably the only one who was better than Williams. Buddy is too one dimensional mixed in with that foul line mid range jumper.
Dion, Williams, close third Tyus,Buddy, Andy.

Williams went to IONA his Sr year. Tyus, Buddy, and Andy played NBA games.

Williams had too many off court issues and wasn’t stable mentally. Still better than those 3. We can agree to disagree my fine sir.
