Not saying Gerry is better than Hodge or that he should be hired, but the guy can flat out coach and is everything Autry wasn't. I have no issue at all with him being an option for the job. Doesn't mean he should be the one hired, but for him to be given consideration makes sense. This program would've been better if he was the original hire over Autry. Even though that by no way means he's the right guy now.

To be honest he would have been screwed by the 2025 NIL situation.

Unfortunately 98% of that endowment can't be used for sports so it's essentially useless. If they were to break glass for that it would have to be for conf realignment purposes not hiring Hodgson.

Top is what it needs to be. Sports have never been a priory for SU chancellors even befor Mel Eggers and I know that for a fact.

It’s a bandaid. Melo loves Hop. Hop plays Kiyan. Melo gives huge NIL bag. We pay big time NIL for the next 2 years and hope Hop can coach …. If not we fire Hop when Kiyan leaves and ask Hodgson if he’s ready to leave USF yet

I respect your opinion and message. But why do I want to support mediocrity and failure? The only way things will change is if people stop putting up with the notion that this is ok and can't be fixed.

People saw what rock bottom was with another JB assistant in Autry. Attendance is at an all-time low, and how will GMAC help with that?

With all that being said. I'm excited to see our WBB team in the tourney. That should be the team we support in the future because Syracuse University has clearly shown they dont care about basketball anymore.

Well I've been supporting them and travelling to their games for 15 years, and have fllor season tickets for 10 years even though I live in AZ.

He just won the MAAC tournament with 5.5 guys. So the NIL point is moot. The MAAC is mostly full of Q4 teams. He was rarely outcoached all season and constantly made halftime adjustments that led to the team playing well. He also got a 4* to commit to Siena over Providence.

I heard they were playing 4 against 5 at times.
