If by Heimer, you need Boeheim, it's not surprising. He is the same guy who was against SU moving into the Dome, wanting to stay in Manley field house. I am pretty sure he was also against joining the Big East. He does not like any change.

Agree nobody should be sending rude messages.

But also, we shouldnt be treating any one donor as a be all and savior. There are tons of folks who contribute to our programs who dont ask for a spotlight. We should be thankful of every person who gives any money and wants to field successful programs.

The Lallys have asked to be in the spotlight -- they could easily stay behind the scenes like many other folks who do on the basketball and football side.

Makes a person wonder if this is a ripple effect from the Lyke matter. Especially with people inside and outside the program suggesting BH was the "1 target.

Unfortunately, right or wrong, if you put yourself in the spotlight (name on several buildings etc) you open yourself up for the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between.

Again, not justifying it, just the reality of the situation.

I also don’t like the “if you say something about them they’ll pull their money.” Okay, well if that’s how you feel you aren’t really doing it to help the school. If you were, you would drown out the white noise so to speak. The attitude of “you have to say nice things about us” is kinda what got us to where we are, no?
