If it's Gerry (I hope not) he better have connections to hire a more experienced staff and GM. Just seems like such a backward hire based on the past few years, and the opposite of what JW stated and Blair mentioned today being forward thinking and all that.

Fundamentally disagree
And of course you are correct. Choosing between a great offense and terrible defense vs a Great defense and a terrible offence, take the defense. It is there every night. It's like having great pitching. The offensive team would be more fun to watch. No question about that. But the defense will win a few more games. You can't always be on with your offense.

it *could* work with a strong OC and GM

We've tried full on defense long enough...Get away from ISO Ball and mid range 2's...Dan Hurley had Uconn playing elite D and didn't win crap until Murray came aboard.

I asked this earlier. Where, and when, did Murray "learn" his system?

I think this is just false in the modern era of basketball, especially with NIL.

Anyone else worried that we're one more TCU win from 30 posters asking if our package is big enough (that's what she said) for Jamie Dixon?
