LOL yes you wereI totally wasn’t one of them.
You have ruined it for everyone. All you had to do was fix me up with Anna Kendrick and boom, the info would be out. 4evaOrange ruined it for everyone.I didn’t spam message you cause I respect you and your inside informantion and won’t harp on you.
But I mean if you wanted to I wouldn’t say no to it.![]()
Sounds like a guy waiting for an answer lol
Do you think this other candidate has a realistic shot, or is it Gerry’s job to lose?I want to learn more but the chances of that aren't that good. Because once again, it's not from my Syracuse side.
she pulled a Hodgson and rejected your offerYou have ruined it for everyone. All you had to do was fix me up with Anna Kendrick and boom, the info would be out. 4evaOrange ruined it for everyone.
If so, you wouldn't want her anyway, right? You have ruined it for everyone. All you had to do was fix me up with Anna Kendrick and boom, the info would be out. 4evaOrange ruined it for everyone.
They need both su guys plus the 660 guy who won in d2. Ao knows bigs well. Blackwell knows forwards and their rotations. I wouldn’t change anything. Great coaches look at their weaknesses and try to improve them each year. Gerry will do what he needs but he won’t get rid of his group now.One thing Gerry has - he is unique. There was never and will never be a player in the state of PA maybe any state who did what he did in the state playoffs in HS an in the manner he did then followed to accomplish what he did in college. Especially not someone all of 6-0 tall.
He has a tenacity paired with understanding of the game that’s hard to explain. The same hard ass side paired with building a strong bond that’s described of him as coach is who he was as a player. He was as intense as they get and had a killer mentality when we played them in HS then at things like district awards etc he was chill and not above anyone even if there was some typical trash talking and good natured banter.
Gerry’s flaw is found within his strength as a competitor. The push and desire to win can create blind spots where he can miss things and overplay his hand. It’s not uncommon in highly competitive younger coaches - it’s actually something Hurley struggled with early on at UConn before it all clicked.
Thus, Gerry needs a staff and a strong voice or two that can help him in his approach and game management to truly excel. He needs a Luke Murray metaphorical equivalent on the staff. I don’t mind if he brings one of Blackwell or AO but preferably not both. I’d like to see Devo involved somehow. Add a high level recruiter and another basketball mind from outside the family.
Finally just show us the money. Time to get everyone on board and that includes AW. Figure out a way he can be the guy who can setup individual NIL deals for bigger fish while others do so via a more collective contribution so that you have multiple paths that meet all the regulatory guidelines. The NIL system will ultimately collapse on itself be it via law or the NCAA or lack of sustainability but we need a collaborative model that’s multi faceted getting money in via big donors, fan contributions at games or events or a better managed subscription service with a core board or management structure that handles clearinghouse matters and acts somewhat loosely like a silent brokerage akin to whatever Duke does.
Lastly, Duke is hungry for a Scheyer / program nemesis that sells big and the ACC is too, and in short order. With the right mix Gerry could be that guy ( I thought BH could too). There is opportunity here while we sit in the darkness to find our way out even with GMac. It won’t be for certain but it just might be the time where the iron is hottest which goes against what I had been hellbent in my thinking even a couple weeks ago…
C’mon Dash. We all know you just enjoy torturing the board.LOL I will not play this game any further. the only reason I brought it up was that it didn't come from Syracuse.
So, we have to wait for Duke to lose? You know I don't but in all of our books, one should.
Would you be willing to share who it was after this all over? I’m really interested to see who it could/could of been. You know I don't but in all of our books, one should.
If I were making the choice, along with just about everyone else, I would offer the job to the other guy and see what happens first. All i was told was that it was down to 2. Gerry being 1 and the other guy being 2.Do you think this other candidate has a realistic shot, or is it Gerry’s job to lose?
AbsolutelyWould you be willing to share who it was after this all over? I’m really interested to see who it could/could of been.
Only one game left to find out then! So, we have to wait for Duke to lose?

Sharks circle, There are a lot of different types of sharks by the way, They take a bit of truth and mix it with a lie and it creates poison. Honestly pretty simple. In any event there is a real perception as it relates to Syracuse, and certainly the fan base which unequivocally reside in this city, at least a huge proportion of them. I wonder what that public persona and perception is. I hope it changes. Massive analogy, this board. I think that is appropriate at least anecdotally. Anyone care to actually consider regression analysis? Or even a simple survey? That is my hypothesis, research question.and the lack of fan support.
You’re not dasher. REVEAL YOURSELFLOL yes you were
Thanks. I’m hoping this candidate is truly interested to the point we have a hard decision to make by spending more for him.Absolutely
I've never heard anyone say I hate this freaking place cya suckers.Yup sounds like someone who feels like they got the job at Syracuse but waiting for the process to be done...
He typically charges $3.50 for that. You’re not dasher. REVEAL YOURSELF
Well I don’t know her but I respect the hell out of people who are tough on their kids because it teaches them everything. God bless her.As a fellow Fultonian that left for many years and came back, yes...times have been rough on this area. It is sad, but it is what you make of it. We live here strictly because our parents are still alive and well and help a lot with raising our children. Fulton pumps out some extremely hard-working blue-collar types. Some sneaky good athletes have come out of this tiny run-down city over the years. I can tell you all as someone who knows Gavin's mother very well, you will not find a harder worker as evident from watching any Siena game. I harass his mother often about how hard she is on her kids as she coaches almost everything from soccer, lacrosse, and basketball but those kids all work their butts off because of it. I know that fans are going to love this kid in Orange
I have concerns about spurning gmac again. Waving the job in his face yet again then being like psyche we got another big name.the only reason I went public with what I have gone public with is because I was so surprised.
