This is the type of move the AD should be making. Love GMAC but this program needs a proven commodity who is no doubt a dang good basketball coach. Exhaust all options and then go to GMAC if they fall thru. Doesn’t seem like anybody else is really going for GMAC

I've not known Blair for long or really at all lol, but he seems like the kind of guy that when he goes to the butcher he doesn't just get what they display, he asks for better cuts in the back and that's what this hire would feel like if it gets done.

Yes the whispers from everyone seems like this is a big deal. And if there are no leaks I imagine we aren't getting used initially which is very good.

If Davis is out at Carolina, any top flight or up and coming coach looking for work or change of scenery will be gunning for that job. With Hodgson off the board, we need to lock down either Murray or Gerry very very soon before other coaches (possibly Pope) get canned in the coming days.

SU has always had $$, the issue was getting into the upper echelon of funds. Syracuse isn't BC there' NIL and $$ available.

It's good hearing there is at least one other good candidate involved.

Regarding GMac, even those who don't think he would be a good choice have to admit that he did this "the right way." He went out on his own, built a staff he could trust, took a terrible program and turned it around in two seasons, and then took it to a very, very good Duke team on the biggest stage with only five players. I feel good about where we are right now...as long as the NIL follows whichever coach we hire.
