People disrespect Gerry. They talk about him like he's a kid. He played and coached at the highest level of college basketball for 20 years, won a national championship as a player, went to two Final Fours as an assistant and now as a head coach, with a totally overmatched team, took the #1 team in the country down to the wire. Somehow Schertz and Hodgson are vastly superior. Good coaches, but vastly superior and would coach circles around Gerry? Just like Scheyer did yesterday, right? I'd be perfectly happy with Gerry or Schertz, but Gerry doesn't take a backseat to him.

GMacs biggest problem is 10 years of frustration in Cuse’s hoops stinking and his direct or indirect ties.

Coaching wise you may be right but running a program. Well running a top tier ACC program could be a problematic. Scheyer had an army and a good pass off, hell Schertz has an army now and a school ready to add more to it.

People, including me are rightfully concerned that gmac may crush it coaching on court but not off the court. And let’s be real a lot of this game is becoming the off court stuff like getting the portal talent in the door. A lot of the game is played before the game and we have been failing miserably in that sense. I’m hoping the new blood with Haynie and BB change that tho along with Fran and a new hood coach.

Just Another SEC school that’s bread and butter for 30 years has been tampering and paying players saying they have a small NIL budget. How much longer can we keep quoting these guys on how they little NIL they have but then you look at the roster and say hmm that’s weird.

Hah come on. Just stop. They don’t go into the portal unless they want to. If they want a player they go after them and 9 out of 10 times get them. Just because they’ve been freshman heavy doesn’t mean it’s a trend it’s just because they’ve had great freshman better than the portal options.

Let’s get serious. Gerry coached a great game against Duke. He had a good, not great, regular season, finishing 3rd in a mediocre conference. He shows a lot of promise. But he’s not John Wooden. We really need to pump the brakes just a little imo.
