Doty, Folefac, Moesch (via 2026 class), and maybe maybe Shoats and that should be it. For the current Syracuse guys that stay, my oh my are they in for a culture change shock. GMAC has a lot of old school characteristics that he won't put aside (good thing) that Autry did and it hurt Autry ultimately. I feel like Autry's teams play with no sense of urgency. GMAC has a Pitino demeanor to him that's really intriguing. He's not not going to run the flashy schemes, etc. But his teams are going to be tough, good fundamentals, and trying to out smart the competition.

Just watch GMAC on the sidelines… he plays every possession with his players. Even on a busted ankle. Sideline energy matters a lot… it’s definitely not everything as I know this will immediately gets classified as cope.

This guy does not want to lose and I can’t see him letting his players quit on the court or off the court. Accountability is a helluva thing and Syracuse players haven’t seemed to have any for years

So a couple of things.

JB has a long memory. Post game comments by Oats in 16&17 were bookmarked in his brain and the story about Trey Autry added fuel to his fire. He was not going to give his blessing to Hodgson and he still has friends who are donors. Hodgson felt unwelcome and bolted.

Don’t know how much JB would have supported guys like Schertz, Martelli Jr Skinn etc…but I don’t think it mattered. I don’t think Shertz was getting the money he wanted to leave and the rest don’t move the NIL needle like GMAC. If his NIL is north of $12M than he’s going to be really good shape. I don’t think BB had too many options once the Hail Mary to Schertz failed.

JB came to the table with a gut shot straight, and hit it on the turn when Gerry won the tournament.

Hop is NOT coming back to be an assistant coach. Would he come as part of the GM staff?!?! Doubt it, but don’t know for sure.

I assume Kiyan and Sadiq are wanted by Gerry. Would not be surprised if Betsey and Kingz are as well - though Kingz waiver would have to be pursued.

Donnie’s the wildcard. No idea. I bet Hodgson makes a run at him.

I don’t see George here next year.

Gerry desperately needs a PG, PF and a Center. And another shooter if Kingz isn’t.

I never thought I’d say or think this in a million years, but I have come to loathe Jim Boeheim and his continued undermining and sandbagging of the basketball program. It’s disgusting and reveals the depth of his self-centered, narcissistic personality. You can’t take away what he’s accomplished and built, but he has tarnished his legacy in a major way for me.
