In kind of hoping someone with some Syracuse ties
Great way to make the decision ...
Leo Rautins, come on down.
Our canuck recruiting would be off the charts.

You really need to drop the Pitino thing.Call pitino and have him say no. I’d take him for 3 years to come full circle.
Establish the culture of winning again and working hard.
I’d call thad after he says no. We need stability asap.
Hopefully, he wants to coach on the highest level. Sounds like it from the video below.
Yes. That's bonkers even for a message board.I'm not opposed to the idea of considering Eric Devendorf.
I mean he has coaching experience.
Why do I think his feisty persona and knowledge of the game of bb would be good for our team?
I like his broadcasting and he thinks and says things about cuse that I think about.
Am I insane?

I thought hiring coach fb was bonkers.Yes. That's bonkers even for a message board.
To provide valuable input on the next hire, yes I do trust him to know who would be good and who wouldn’t be good. To run a program, absolutely not, I want to see him climb up the analyst rankings at ESPN.I'm not opposed to the idea of considering Eric Devendorf.

He values cincy over Syracuse. But DanielA above already confirmed that he ain’t coming to Syracuse.
Jim Boeheim is a bridge to the past. Not the glory days, not even the Bubble days, the not in the tournament days right before Red.I hate to say it but we might need to bring back beoheim for one year as a bridge to the future.
I hate to break it to you, but your use of AI didn’t help your advocacy for Devo.I thought hiring coach fb was bonkers.
But, besides that.
Coaching Experience
Eric Devendorf has a solid background in coaching and basketball. He served as an assistant strength coach for Syracuse's men's basketball team from 2016 to 2018. Following that, he worked as a special assistant to the head coach at the University of Detroit Mercy. His experience includes mentoring players and contributing to team strategies.
Player Background
Devendorf had a successful playing career at Syracuse, where he averaged 15.7 points per game in his final season. He ranks 14th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,680 points. His time as a player, including participation in high-pressure games, gives him valuable insights into player development and game management.
Community Engagement
Devendorf is known for his active involvement in the community and his commitment to giving back. He has organized youth basketball camps and initiatives to support local businesses, showcasing his leadership and dedication to fostering the next generation of players.
Potential as a Head Coach
While Devendorf has not yet held a head coaching position, his combination of playing experience, coaching roles, and community involvement positions him as a promising candidate. His competitive nature and familiarity with the Syracuse basketball program could be advantageous in a head coaching role.
What, Wikipedia is now Ai?I hate to break it to you, but your use of AI didn’t help your advocacy for Devo.
Being special assistant to the HC at Detroit Mercy is hardly a qualification for HC at a P4 school.I'm not opposed to the idea of considering Eric Devendorf.

Why would he leave the better funded program he's at to come here? Nostalgia for the cup of coffee he bought here in terms of his career?Call pitino and have him say no. I’d take him for 3 years to come full circle.

Cite your source. Where’s the quote from his mouth that says this? Otherwise, it’s hearsay. He values cincy over Syracuse.

I had floated Devo as an INTERIM coach for the rest of the year on an earlier post and I agree with you. Guarantee they would play like an inferno and not be soft like they are now.I'm not opposed to the idea of considering Eric Devendorf.

Im not sure you’re insane for this vision, but this would be an insane move for post Autry. I’d be hesitant to go McNamara even because I cant see going back to back Syracuse guys and I always thought GMac was a better coach.I'm not opposed to the idea of considering Eric Devendorf.

Actually 5 years is the average standard for an initial D1 men’s basketball coaching contract.Agree but I think 3 years is the standard, if you’re an AD you have to worry about the optics. Coaches aren’t going to want to go somewhere if they think they’ll have a very short leash
