Dash's response to my inquiry (where I also quoted Scooch indicating something different may have occurred) was bizarrely defensive. If his source was someone from SU, that makes it even more suspicious. Maybe the insiders are being fed something that is more a result of sour grapes than a reflection of anything Hodgson actually said or did. Hodgson has been rubbing some folks the wrong way since all of the chatter about bringing him in as soon as last year.

In all seriousness, Hodgson is like my third choice. Something about this story and the way it's being pushed just "stinks".

I remember thinking K was an a-hole for an incident with Dillon Brooks after a game in the handshake line. My opinion on that has changed since then. I don't know Trey from any other rando kid. If it was any other kid but Trey and Hodgson, we wouldn't be talking about it at all.

Interesting - changed as in it was not and is not a big deal? Or changed as in Dillon the Villain has a career rep so you get where K was coming from? Just curious because my vibe is the "adult" needs to talk to his own team and never engage in a negative manner with another player.

Lot to do about nothing. Tensions are high when you’re competing. A non story in my opinion. We’re not paying a coach to be a model citizen. We’re paying them to win games. In a perfect world, we hire a coach who is both. But that is a rare diamond.

I heard somewhere that Schertz does not want to be on the east coast so I don't think we'll get him, Skinn is my number 1 choice with Hogdson right behind him

Gee I wonder why people don’t share what they know? No wonder so many people just don’t bother anymore. Who needs the attacks? You do know that this entire board is rumors, conjecture - so who are you kidding with the self righteous attacks? Some people just decide what and who they want to believe and if it differs from what they want to believe - they attack. They can’t let it go. No one said you have to believe anything you read here - but what right do you have to attack someone because you just don’t want something to be true either. To be honest no one cares what you believe anymore than anyone has to care what I say. Why do you care so much - I imagine you have a reason- you want people to absolutely believe your own rumor or made up version so it really upsets you if someone has sources who don’t agree.Think about it- who cares, so why do you care so much? My worry with Skinn has nothing to do with Xs and Os, as I think he is great with that. My worry is have a decade of bad boring play and coaching. I feel his personality would just add to that and wouldn't inspire the fan base or donors to immediately give money and fill the dome in a way someone else would.

With Skinn, it would be a slower build-up IMO he would have to win win win and then once he proves he can win, the fans and donors will come back. That is again my opinion on watching him on the sidelines and interviews; I have not met him or talked to him personally but I think he has great systems of basketball from and Xs and Os standpoint.

I’m very skeptical about Skinn. Not sure what he has done to seperate himself or make himself this great candidate with such little experience at a team with previous history.

"We set a lot of ball screens," Olen said. "I think we've been top five or top 10 in the country in ball screen frequency over the last several years. But we don't just do it with one individual person all the time. We kind of mix up who's in the actions and who's in the ball screens...

"A lot of it's going to be match up dependent, because we don't want you to be able to hide right? A lot of teams want to switch the ball screen to defend pick-and-pop. So maybe they're trying to take their five and put them in a different position. But we don't want to let people do that. We'll kind of have versatility."

"We're going to be aggressive on that side of the ball, but we're also going to play to our strengths," Olen said, emphasizing he would love to land several skilled big men in the transfer portal.

"If we get the right guys, we're going to tailor our scheme accordingly, but we're always going to be aggressive," Olen said. "I do think that the turnovers are important, and we want to create margin there.

"I mean, one of the emphasis for us is always going to be possession positive. We want to win the possession battle."
