In all seriousness, Hodgson is like my third choice. Something about this story and the way it's being pushed just "stinks".

Interesting - changed as in it was not and is not a big deal? Or changed as in Dillon the Villain has a career rep so you get where K was coming from? Just curious because my vibe is the "adult" needs to talk to his own team and never engage in a negative manner with another player.

Lot to do about nothing. Tensions are high when you’re competing. A non story in my opinion. We’re not paying a coach to be a model citizen. We’re paying them to win games. In a perfect world, we hire a coach who is both. But that is a rare diamond.

Lot of competitive people have a short fuse.

That sounds like the very definition of a rumor... 2nd or 3rd hand sources. Dasher via an SU source? How would an SU source know? Unless they were there as part of the Autry crew, and that would not exactly be an unbiased, reliable source.

Dash's response to my inquiry (where I also quoted Scooch indicating something different may have occurred) was bizarrely defensive. If his source was someone from SU, that makes it even more suspicious. Maybe the insiders are being fed something that is more a result of sour grapes than a reflection of anything Hodgson actually said or did. Hodgson has been rubbing some folks the wrong way since all of the chatter about bringing him in as soon as last year.

You do know that this entire board is rumors, conjecture - so who are you kidding with the self righteous attacks? Some people just decide what and who they want to believe and if it differs from what they want to believe - they attack. They can’t let it go. To be honest no one cares what you believe anymore than anyone has to care what I say. My worry with Skinn has nothing to do with Xs and Os, as I think he is great with that. My worry is have a decade of bad boring play and coaching. I feel his personality would just add to that and wouldn't inspire the fan base or donors to immediately give money and fill the dome in a way someone else would.

With Skinn, it would be a slower build-up IMO he would have to win win win and then once he proves he can win, the fans and donors will come back. That is again my opinion on watching him on the sidelines and interviews; I have not met him or talked to him personally but I think he has great systems of basketball from and Xs and Os standpoint.

I’m very skeptical about Skinn. Not sure what he has done to seperate himself or make himself this great candidate with such little experience at a team with previous history.

So maybe they're trying to take their five and put them in a different position. But we don't want to let people do that. We'll kind of have versatility."

I like Olen a lot but his entire career has been out on the West Coast. Feels like Arizona State would be a better fit for him. But he's a really good coach. Wouldnt be mad at all to bring him on even though he probably doesnt immediately excite the fanbase. If we win the fans will be excited so it matters much more to find the best coach and support them financially.

I’m not sure Syracuse can afford not to pay a lot more for a head coach than they normally would pay in basketball. If the plan is to fill the dome moving forward, you need to pay a top guy that will almost assuredly fill it.
