Coach Search Options after Autry

Glad to read that Hodgson is in the lead (for now).

I’m trying to convince myself Hop is a viable option I could get behind. Yes, the fan support might be lacking in the beginning, but the vibe I’m getting from those in the know is Hop is a man on a mission. I could see him having a giant chip on his shoulder and a mindset of unfinished business at Syracuse. If he can leverage that into a great staff to support his coaching weaknesses, getting donor support, and recruit, maybe he can reestablish the path that was set for him back when he was named coach in waiting.

Wishful thinking, but possible?
IF (again just hypothetical) Hop is the HC, then his first move I think would be to get Jason Hart to leave UK and be his top assistant. I also wonder what additional connections (aka funders) he has gained from his time in the NBA.

Is someone bankrolling Hop that we’re not thinking of? Or it’s just a familiarity thing
everyone take a deep breath - here’s your driving force behind Hop.

I could reluctantly get behind a hop and Jason Hart coach team, provided they have all this money people are claiming hop has.

Definition of insanity. Even if Hop gets a ton of money, he didn't do well when he had good players in the past. Other schools also have money. We need someone who can coach first. If we're successful, there'll be money. Secondly, it would be a major conflict of interest to have the Father of a player on the team having major input on the decision.
